Meet Pavol Kabac. Pavol’s passion for massage therapy came about almost by accident. He first became interested in massage therapy after reading and watching a documentary about sports therapists who worked with athletes and football clubs. Pavol recalls how that experience showed him how challenging and interesting the work of sport therapy is. We’re so glad you read those books and watched those documentaries Pavol.
Career to Date
Through his Sports Massage Therapy degree qualification course in 2006 in his home town of Slovakia, Pavol has been able to develop his interest in sport, at the same time as improving his massage skills. He has some great techniques and has gained lots of experience with football players in Poland whilst working with the PZPN U17 (Polish Football Association under-17 team), amongst others. He’s also worked with basketball players, volleyball teams and numerous other athletes. While in Scotland, he’s used and developed his skills by working with runners and athletes at the Edinburgh and Glasgow Physio Centres. We’re very proud that Pavol has been contracted to work at many high profile events such as the Tough Mudder Scotland competition because of his Kinnective Tool massage treatment, which is particularly effective for dealing with injuries sustained in such endurance events.
Why Massage Therapy?
As we’ve already mentioned, Pavol first became interested in massage therapy after reading and watching a documentary about sports therapists who worked with athletes and football clubs and has been pretty much hooked ever since.
Life outside the clinic?
In his free time, Pavol likes nothing more than a trip to the gym or doing some lengths at the pool.
Pavol’s claim to fame is that he climbed Ben Lomond and few other big mountains in Scotland. Bravo Pavol.
Although Pavol loves photography, he loves walking his dog even more and points out having a dog is scientifically proven to make you live 7 years longer! Ah hah! Time to get a dog we think…
